Also just updated with Annuna info above. Some more details: they're based in Berlin, Germany, and are run by a company called DMSP, website here: http://www.dmsp.de/

Looks like there are a lot of OpenSim hosting companies and designer vendors in Germany.

Thanks for that Kyle. Clean separation of the front end from the server makes a lot of sense. I guess I really need to give Jibe a proper trial!

Hello fineman. Glad to hear you are happy with Snoopy's there will be many great places over time to get your virtual world hosted. Jibe is not just Unity3D it is a mixture of custom coded middleware, database design plus the SmartFox server backend. Consider it a separation of the presentation, logic and data layers all combined equaling "Jibe". Due to this design we can accommodate future front ends with ease like WebGL, HTML5 canvas etc & current ones like VastPark, Flash, Silverlight, Shockwave and more. We feel that Opensim does something very unique and is moving forward nicely on its own. In order for us to move Jibe to Iphone, Ipad, Android, Xbox 360 and other platforms we have chosen to develop a variety of tools for it instead of focusing on only one backend platform. Our CTI Chris Hart not only works on the Opensim backend but has developed our Jibe middleware which is being used by Fortune 100 clients and Triple A gaming studios. Great question & I hope we answered it clearly.

We''re an existing customer of Snoopy's Dreamland Metaverse and we've had excellent service and a great response from any and every query. Also Snoopy is active in developing the OpenSim core codebase so if you have tech issues, you will get good sensible answers. I understand the momentum behind Reaction Grid at the moment, they've done a great job technically and in using social media for marketing. I also think the choice of Unity for the browser based solution is right (who doesn't right now... until WebGL gets more widely adopted....) If I had any hesitance about RG it is that they have chosen to create an entirely separate server-side and not use Unity to front OpenSim. I'd love to hear more about that decision.
