Thanks Maria. A fun video that almost slipped past my radar. The new HB news briefs column is a neat feature!

I’d love to have an Oculus Rift on my system for enjoying virtual worlds. But then again, I already make time for virtual worlds in a way most people never would. I don’t think the OR will change the time factor involved in working with virtual worlds, so I’m not inclined to think this will be interesting to the masses beyond the novelty value at shows and those situations where we are almost there already, like realistic games and medical simulations; the documentary does point out a lot of specialty applications where time is not the issue, but rather effective interventions. There are also a few moments of unadulterated building of castles in the air, or should we talk about the amazing success of 3D television? Let’s hope accessible VR actually does get (more) people excited – it certainly would be great for us creative content creator types!
