Press release: ARRS Introduces a 3D Option for CME Education
The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) is taking a leadership role within their industry by offering their attendees the ability to attend their educational course not only in 2D, but in a 3D, immersive environment as well. Their upcoming course:  Imaging of the Active Lifestyle – From Weekend Warrior to Pro Athlete, will be presented in a 3D, immersive virtual world custom built for ARRS by Digitell.
“We are pleased to make history by being the first radiological organization to offer a live course in a 3D platform”, says Melinda Contrares, Education Manager for ARRS.
This Virtual Conference opens the door to 45 high-impact learning sessions presented by the leading experts in the field. Attendees will have the option to create an AVATAR, (a 3D representation of yourself), to network with some of the best and brightest radiologists in the world and earn 20 CME credits. ARRS members can access this easy-to-use virtual platform right from theirr computer at their home or office. Attendees can participate from anywhere in the world-no travel costs required.
“For people who cannot attend the Categorical Course that will be included in our upcoming annual meeting, The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) wanted to provide convenient access to the content of this course”, adds Contrares. Melinda goes on to say, “ARRS embraces innovation in our educational activities. We recognize that innovation is an investment to our organization, which is why we chose to incorporate the 3D platform. We also recognize that some end users have limits to their computing power; therefore, ARRS decided to offer both the 2D, standard webinar platform, as well as the 3D platform, which is engaging and will make our attendees feel as though they are actually at the categorical course.” Â
Digitell (www.digitellinc.com) offers attendees the option to participate in an event in one of two online platforms:
A 2D platform will allow you to view the Virtual Categorical Course live, as a standard webinar. You will be able to see the PowerPoint presentation and hear the presenter, along with having the capability to ask questions.
A 3D platform is extremely engaging, user friendly and comprises the latest technology in online education. You will be able to create an avatar, a 3D representation of yourself, see each presentation in an online auditorium and network with other online attendees. Please see system requirements above.
