Summer’s top virtual communities

Google Plus continues to be the social media destination of choice for OpenSim users, due its usability, sharing features, and support for identities based on avatar names.

I currently track 175 virtual communities that have some relation to OpenSim, and just collected the members counts of each group. See the full list of metaverse communities here.

Of course, you don’t have to be a member to view the posts in the public communities, so the amount of interest in, say, The Adult Metaverse community, may be under counted.

This month for the time time I started tracking collections as well, which are a new feature in Google Plus.
