Metropolis, one of the three oldest OpenSim major grids is shutting down on June 30 so that the owners can focus on another project, the educational Yunis grid. In May, Metropolis reported more than 1,600 active users, nearly 20,000 registered users, and the equivalent of more than 800 standard regions.
